Sizing & Fit
This ring is approximately 8 mm wide. Wider rings can fit differently from narrower bands, so it is important to establish your size using a ring sizer of a similar width.
If you're unsure of your size, we'll send you the ring sizer that most closely matches the width of your chosen design to try at home. Simply return the sizer to us with your horse hair once you've established the most comfortable fit.
Rings can be made in half sizes where required.
Sending Your Horse Hair
Full length tail hair is ideal, as this allows us to select the strongest hairs for your ring. Take the hairs at their full length — don't trim the ends. We only need approximately a fat pencil's thickness.
If full length tail hair isn't available, this design can also be made using shorter tail or mane hair, provided the hairs are at least 20 cm long.
Once you have placed your order, you'll receive full instructions for preparing, labelling and sending your horse hair to us.
Making & Delivery
Each piece is individually handmade to order and commissions are completed in the order they are received.
If you have a particular date in mind, please tell us when ordering and we will do our best to accommodate it. If your date is essential, please contact us before placing your order.
Care & Longevity
The braided horse hair in your ring is made to be worn and enjoyed, but rings are naturally exposed to more wear than other pieces of jewellery and a little extra care will help preserve the hair.
Avoid prolonged soaking and remove your ring before bathing, swimming, washing up or using household cleaning products. We also recommend removing it when applying hand creams, lotions or other products that may build up within the braid.
Take care to avoid snagging or abrading the braided surface. In particular, we recommend that you do not wear your ring directly alongside another ring with stones, settings or sharp edges that could rub against the horse hair.
Please follow the care instructions supplied with your jewellery.
