How much hair do I need?
The amount and length of hair required depends on the piece you choose and the way the hair is used. You'll find the exact requirements on each product page. Wherever possible, please keep your horse's tail hair at its full natural length until you know what is needed.
Keep it long
Don't trim the hair into shorter lengths. Most of our techniques require full-length tail hairs.
Not too much
Most pieces require surprisingly little hair. The exact amount needed is shown with each design.
